We wish to provide the most convenient, family-friendly and fun winter experiences that Japan has to offer, in the beautiful alpine region of Yuzawa.

Yuzawa is known as “Snow Country” in Japan, and it’s no surprise as the area gets over 11 meters of snow per year. What’s more surprising is that you can get here from central Tokyo in just 70-80 minutes by train, or in just over 2 hours by car!

All TwinTips properties have direct ski-in ski-out slope-side access to the Ishiuchi-Maruyama ski resort that connects to Gala Yuzawa and Yuzawa Kogen. There are another 16 ski resorts within 45 minutes drive from TwinTips.

With such easy access to the slopes, you can turn every weekend from late December to early April, into an action packed adventure.

     More Comfort

Our properties

With one of our spacious and affordable rental apartments, you no longer need to worry about bookings, crammed hotel rooms and noon-check-out. Don't waste valuable time packing and unpacking. Keep your gear where it belongs - in the mountains.

After a day of carving groomed slopes or shredding fresh powder in ‘Snow Country’, take advantage of the on-site onsen, a 25m swimming pool, restaurants, gym and après-ski facilities.

Less Drama

     More Panorama

Join our awesome community

Just as important as skiing or snowboarding, our activevibrant and passionate community is one of the main reason families return to TwinTips year after year. Join community gatherings, or connect with like minded TwinTippers through our "activity oriented" WhatsApp groups.

Après ski at TwinTips is one of a kind. This is where the vibrant Twintips community comes alive to meet in a pleasant atmosphere to celebrate a great day on the slopes. Our resident DJ crew will keep the tunes going and vinyls spinning until dinner time.

Less pressure

     More pleasure

Eat and drink

Food is one of life’s greatest pleasures – along with skiing and snowboarding. At TwinTips, mealtimes are also a great opportunity to share your favourite parts of the day and plan your next adventures with friends and family. All our apartments come with a fully equipped kitchen, and there are restaurant options in our building.

That said, not leaving the building would be a shame. For a tiny village in the middle of the Northern Alps, Yuzawa offers a rather impressive variety of places to enjoy a meal. The local Koshi-Hikari rice is second to none and famous world-wide. Click the link below for a list of restaurants that have earned the TwinTippers vote of confidence.

Green is

     the new white

Winter is just half the fun...

We are not going to blame anyone for associating Yuzawa with winter vacations, but underneath those layers of snow awaits a whole new world to explore. The green season is when you can fully connect with the region's land, lore, history and culture. Your efforts will be rewarded.

You'll find mountains and alpine hiking trails with incredible views, historic castle ruins and ancient temples. There are green forests, lakes and rivers to cool off. Activities such as zip-lining, golfing and cycling and more will keep you occupied.

At nighttime, the TwinTips community may meet up for a BBQ or just gather around a crackling bonfire.
